A comparison between owning and our program:
If you have ever considered buying your own aircraft this plan is for you. Why?
Consider these factors:
If you purchased it the C-182 we are offering would cost:
| $800-$1200 monthly for the
note
$3000 per year for insurance $75-$375 per month for parking That's over $1500 per month without starting the engine!!! |
Now, how many hours per year would you fly? Most owners fly an average of 100 hours per year. That's a whopping hourly cost of $180.00 each year without the cost of maintenance. Plus the headaches of scheduling maintenance and repairs and it becomes a very overwhelming prospect.
Our program is:
One charge per month to your Visa, MasterCard or check card. For the C-182 the cost is $600 per month for 100 + hours per year. For the C-172N or 172P it's $400 per month. Part time (up to 5 hours per month) in the 182 is $375 per month plus $30 per tach hour.. |
The plan will have a monthly price which includes ALL flight time up for the length of the contract. The minimum contract is 6 months and has a 50 hour soft limit. Continue flying after 50 hours in the contract without additional cost depending on aircraft availability. The only restriction is that the aircraft be scheduled fairly among the members. The 50 hour limit is a soft number designed to ensure fair usage of the aircraft by all members. The only time it will be used is a case where someone has 70 hours and another member has 20 and wants to fly. The high time member will be asked to give up a slot or two or be move to a different aircraft for that flight. Please note: These ARE NOT accelerated pilot programs and are not intended for people who want to build 100 hours a month. The purpose, as stated, is to have fair and affordable usage for ALL members. Any person "hogging" time in any aircraft will be removed from the club for the benefit of the other members. |
You will also need a fuel card which is available from the airport for $18 per month and entitles you to fuel at the club price (currently $0.05 per gallon over airport cost). The fuel club is offered by Potomac airfield. A.T.C. has no control over prices or billing. You won't find those prices anywhere. |
Maximum number of people per aircraft is 18. |
Each pilot will be entitled to 4 weekends per year without any minimums. You also have the use of ANY aircraft we offer in the same price range or lower. For example, if you fly the C-182 but it's not available that day, you can fly the older 172's. We make every effort to ensure you always have an aircraft for a flight. The 172's can not be used for trips since training is their primary mission. |
We need 8 or 9 people who are definite in order to get a new aircraft. With this program we can get the aircraft that you want. |
We will only get aircraft that are new or in excellent mechanical condition in order to minimize downtime. We have added a full maintenance facility to our business so down time is further minimized by having a full maintenance staff at our disposal. Plus, since they are our mechanics, the work is top notch and always completed on time. |
