I've had the chance to fly with several FBO's in the Washington, DC area, and none are better than the ATC Flying Club. Good planes, good fellow pilots and a good management make this the only place I would recommend to general aviation pilots in the Washington, DC area. With ATC you feel like you're part of the club, not just another paying customer. ATC has a friendly atmosphere that makes pre-flight and post-flight as enjoyable as being in the air.

I took Private Pilot lessons at the ATC Flight Training Center. I found the ATC Flying Club a cost efficient way to make becoming a pilot a reality. I intend to continue using the Flying Club to affordably build my flying hours as a Private Pilot as well. It is substantially cheaper than renting by the hour. The scheduling is simple through this web site. You get to make the appointments yourself. You find out immediately whether the plane and your instructor, if you want to take lessons, are each available. My experience has been that you can easily find times that work for you.

I don't think that you will find a better deal in town for such quality equipment. The Archer, especially, is a fantastic cross-country airplane with its dual Garmin 430s and 2-axis autopilot.
